Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to suspend the rules for the purpose of <br />adopting Ordinances 38 -17, 39 -17, 58 -17, 6 -18, 20 -18, 24 -18, 26 -18 (docket items 49 -11 & #13- <br />16) <br />Discussion: In response to a question by Mr. Rader regarding Ordinance 6 -18, Director Butler <br />explained that questions about the change made in the Ordinance have since been resolved. The <br />Ordinance pertains to situations in which the property owner opposes a historic property <br />designation. The recent related matter before Planning Commission pertained to a historic <br />property designation supported by the owner. <br />Yeas: Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader <br />Nays: None <br />Motion adopted. Ordinances 38 -17, 39 -17, 58 -17, 6 -18, 20 -18, 24 -18, and 26 -18 adopted. <br />17. Housing Committee Report Regarding Meeting Held June 18, 2018; Mr. Anderson, Chair <br />This evening between 6:00 p.m. and just shy of 7:00 p.m. the Housing Committee met and <br />discussed three particular ordinances. All members of the Committee were present as well as <br />many members of the administration and a couple members of the public. In regard to Ordinance <br />32 -18 authorizing and directing the administration to enter into an agreement with a licensed real <br />estate broker to market for sale real property located at 2115 Robin and 2007 Robin, the <br />Committee voted to recommend adoption upon third reading, which will take place in two <br />weeks. In regards to Ordinance 18 -18, the Committee opted to defer, as is the case with <br />Ordinance 2 -18. We deferred on two, recommended adoption of 32 -18. No further business was <br />before the Housing Committee so we adjourned. <br />Motion by Mr. Anderson, seconded by Mr. O'Leary to receive and file the oral report. <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />18. ORDINANCE NO. 2 -18 — AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, amending various parts of <br />Chapter 1306, Property Maintenance and Safety Code ... (light pollution) (REFERRED TO <br />THE HOUSING COMMITTEE 1/2/18; SECOND READING 1/16/18) <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to defer Ordinance 2 -18. <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />
