(Referred to <br />COW 11/5/18) (pg. 5) <br />President O'Leary remarked that a number of candidates have expressed interest in these <br />positions and that he looks forward to filling these positions in January 2019. <br />Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to defer items #3 — 6. <br />Yeas: Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader <br />Nays: None <br />Motion passed. Items #3 — 6 deferred. <br />7. Finance Committee report regarding meetings held 12/10 & 12/17 (to be provided) <br />I am very pleased at the cooperation, deliberation, and debate that we have had over the past <br />month or so. We had over 13 hours of Finance Committee hearings in total. The 10th and the <br />17th in particular, we heard about the capital improvements, IT improvement and the Public <br />Works Department budget and also the Council Office budget. Tonight we went through <br />each of the following 18 ordinances and 1 resolution and voted unanimously as a Finance <br />Committee to recommend adoption of all of them. Ordinance 47 -18, 50-18, and 64 -18 are <br />substituted this evening and we recommended to adopt those as substituted. <br />Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file that report. <br />President O'Leary thanked Chairman O'Malley for facilitating a smooth budget process this <br />year, the administration, and the Clerk. <br />All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br />Without objection, President O'Leary requested docket item #12 to be read at this time. <br />Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to suspend the rules for the <br />purpose of substituting items #8, 11 & 25. <br />Yeas: Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader <br />Nays: None <br />Motion passed. Rules suspended. <br />
