Discussion: At the request of Councilmember Rader, Director Sylvester provided detail on <br />the location of the parcel and the proposed plans and long term vision. He spoke about the <br />challenges of the property and that parking is a good outcome. An apartment building used to <br />be at this site. <br />Councilmember O'Malley spoke about the owner's investments in the property's interior. He <br />expressed confidence that the owner will make responsible improvements. <br />Director Sylvester clarified that this need not be referred to Planning Commission. <br />Councilmember Bullock asked for a full inventory of the vacant parcels that the City is <br />currently holding. <br />All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br />****ANNOUNCEMENTS**** <br />Director Gelsomino invited Council to the H2O MLK Day event and provided details on the <br />event. <br />President O'Leary announced the LCRAC Diversity Potluck on January 24th at 6:00 p.m. <br />Councilmember O'Malley expressed admiration to LPD for their outstanding work regarding <br />the situation on Newman Ave. last week. <br />President O'Leary announced the Integrated Wet Weather Improvement event on January <br />16th at 7:00 p.m. <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion adopted.
