Motion by Council President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to receive and
file the report.
All members voted in favor. Motion passed.
2. Committee of the Whole report regarding meetings held January 7, 2019 (to be provided)
Committee of the Whole did meet this evening immediately prior to this Council meeting.
We had on our agenda five items which were four resolutions — 9031-18 through 9034-18 —
which are Council's collective appointments to the Planning Commission, two appointments
to the Heritage Advisory Board, and one appointment to the Board of Nuisance Abatement
Appeals. Council also entered into Executive Session this evening to continue its discussions
regarding the recently conducted Deputy Clerk interviews. Following the deliberation that
occurred, it is my intention to extend a conditional offer of employment to one of the
candidates that we have interviewed - one of the conditions being Council's collective
approval of that resolution at our next Council meeting on January 22nd
pp . Based on what I
heard, I feel comfortable taking that next step. I thank all of the applicants and will be
reaching out to all of the applicants that we interviewed.
We considered Resolution 9031-18, which is the Planning Commission appointment. After
some additional discussion, Council did decide to insert Kyle Krewson into the blank that
appears in that Resolution.
With respect to 9032-18, regarding the Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board, Council has
decided to insert the name Mariah McGunigle into the blank. With respect to Resolution
9033-18, Council has elected to defer at this time. With respect to Resolution 9034-18,
Council has voted to insert the name Susannah Selnick into the blank for the Board of
Nuisance Abatement Appeals. That concludes this Committee of the Whole report.
Motion made by President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to receive and file
the report.
All members voted in favor. Motion passed.
3. RESOLUTION NO. 9031-18 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it
receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or
otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law,
appointing to the Planning Commission for the six year term
beginning January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2024.
