On the motion: All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br />2. Committee of the Whole report regarding meetings held February 19t' 2019. (to be <br />provided) <br />Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to defer the report. <br />All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br />3. Finance Committee report regarding meeting held February 19t' 2019. (to be provided) <br />Councilman O'Malley stated that the committee discussed proposed Ordinance 01-19 <br />regarding paid parental leave benefits for full-time employees of the City. Chiefs Gilman and <br />Malley were present along with Directors Pae, Yousefi, Butler, Gelsomino. All members of <br />the Finance Committee were in attendance, including Councilmen Bullock, Anderson, and <br />Clerk of Council McHugh Bach. The committee learned about how many employees in the <br />last 3 years have taken vacation/sick/comp time due to the birth of their child. The committee <br />will convene again and hopes to hear from employees and union representatives that serve <br />the city's various unionized workers. <br />Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to receive and file the <br />report. <br />All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br />4. ORDINANCE 01-19 — AN ORDINANCE to establish paid parental leave benefits for <br />full-time employees of the City of Lakewood. (Placed on 1St reading and referred to <br />Finance Committee 1/7/19; 2nd reading 1/22/19) (pg. 3 ) <br />Motion by President O'Leary, seconded by Vice President Anderson to defer Ordinance 01- <br />19. <br />On the motion: all members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br />5. ORDINANCE 06-19 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br />otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, repealing <br />Section 549.051, Sale, Possession and use of Stun Guns, of the Codified Ordinances of <br />N <br />
