Mr. Litten stated the he is not inclined to support a carve -out. He feels it would be a <br />slippery slope and that this ordinance is not an undue burden to Robusto & Briar or any <br />small business in Lakewood. He added it is not intended to hurt business owners, but to <br />save young people. He shared that he lost his father 5 and half years ago to lung cancer, <br />who started smoking at a very young age. <br />Mayor Summers stated that he appreciates Mr. Patel's point and will support the <br />ordinance if Council passes it.
