RESOLUTION NO. 9075 -19 <br />Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, <br />BY: O'Leary, O'Malley,,Rader <br />A RESOLUTION to honor the St. Edward High School 2018 -2019 Eagles <br />Wrestling Team on capturing their 4"' OHSAA State Duals Championship and 33`d OHSAA <br />Individual State Championship. <br />WHEREAS, during the 2018 -2019 season, the Eagles of St. Edward continued a <br />robust tradition of success increasing their State Record to 438 State Qualifiers, 327 State <br />Placers, and I I 1 State Champions, and <br />WHEREAS, the Team's outstanding record of success this season is <br />attributable to the hard work, passion, and rigorous schedule of practices adhered to by its <br />members and coaches, and <br />WHEREAS, the following athletes are hereby commended for their individual <br />achievements: <br />Bryce Helmer —State Champion (109th) <br />Samuel Dover — State Champion (110th) <br />Padmic Gallagher- State Champion (111th) <br />Sean Seefeldt- State Runner -Up <br />Angelo Rini- State Runner -Up <br />Bryce Andonian- State Runner -up <br />Seamus O'Malley — State Runner -Up <br />Scott Richter — State 5th Place <br />Hudson Hightower— State 5 " Place <br />Hudson Poole — State Qualifier <br />Michael Garcar- State Qualifier <br />WHEREAS, by these outstanding accomplishments, the St. Edward High <br />School Wrestling Team has brought recognition and honor to the Lakewood community, <br />which accomplishments should be recognized in a proper manner; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That this Council, on behalf of the residents of Lakewood, the <br />Mayor and its members, extends an enthusiastic congratulations to the St. Edward High School <br />Wrestling Team for its outstanding achievements during the 2018 -2019 high school wrestling <br />season culminating in winning the Division I State Wrestling Championship. <br />Section 2. That this Council does hereby express pride in having the City of <br />Lakewood be home to the 2019 State Wrestling Championship Team and wishes all members of <br />the Team best wishes moving forward in their athletic careers and studies. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized to forward a <br />certified copy of this Resolution to Lakewood's St. Edward High School Eagles Wrestling Team <br />c/o Coach John Heffernan and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this <br />meeting. <br />Adopted: 19 <br />CLERK <br />Approve ,� <br />r' MAYOR <br />
