George Papandreas, Carnegie Management and Development Corp., Greg Soltis, RDL Architects, �Marie <br /> Dowling, Behnke Associates, a,nd &&egKavourias, R0LArchitects were present toexplain the request. <br /> Board members, applicant and representatives discussed various aspects. The members said the preliminary <br /> plans were proceeding inthe right direction. Conversation continued about the green space dekalisnfthe <br /> public space, water feature, sign placement, end trellises, the stage area, accessibility of pedestrians and <br /> vehicles during events, access to and viability of the retail stores, include children, play in the design,jewel <br /> boxes, sight line ofthe Curtis Block building. They discussed the building massing, setbacks, the developer's <br /> sensitivity tothe neighbors' comments, green space for the residents, etcetera. <br /> Public comment was taken. The apartment building's south facing wall would besolid. Staff said itwas a <br /> difficult site for development and asked for continuity and balance architecturally throughout the entire <br /> site. There were mmmore comments from the members orstaff, <br /> /\ motion was made byMr. Robar, Seconded byMs. Haney toDEFER the item until the meeting amJanuary 1C\ <br /> 2019. All ofthe members voting yea, the motion passed. <br />
