Provide a brief narrative description of your idea: <br />Continuation: Parks Micro - improvements: budget up to $100,000 to address miscellaneous <br />maintenance and improvement needs in neighborhood and pocket parks throughout the city such as: <br />repairing playground equipment, adding shade, "opening bathrooms on weekends ", adding <br />security cameras, adding refuse bins, and similar concerns. <br />2. Briefly explain how this will benefit the community: <br />Residents periodically provide feedback on how to improve park usability -- whether features, repair, <br />or operations. Councilmembers want to respond on a rapid basis (e.g. within weeks) to respond to <br />citizens and to implement "continuous improvement' in our parks. <br />3. Estimated expense (provide a range): <br />Up to $100,000 (actual costs likely to be less). <br />4. If applicable, describe any past proposals or discussions that are related to this priority. <br />Council's 2018 and 2019 budget priorities process prioritized a number of specific parks needs. <br />S.
