Provide a brief narrative description of your idea: <br />Continuation: continue our trees budget at robust levels so that 2020 planting, pruning, watering, <br />removal, and disease /pest response is of sufficient scope that the City remains on track to attain its <br />tree canopy goals. <br />In addition, expand public education activity to significantly increase the scope of education <br />conducted to private property owners about private tree safety /maintenance, preservation, and <br />planting. This may entail a modest increase in funding. <br />2. Briefly explain how this will benefit the community: <br />Urban forestry goals are only attainable via steady, consistent effort over decades. We must stay the <br />course and begin to expand our public education activity levels to address safety (and other matters) <br />of private trees. <br />3.
