Placed on 1st reading 9/16/19; <br />2nd reading 10/7/19 <br />Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, <br />ORDINANCE NO. 26-19 BY: O'Malley, Rader <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the <br />earliest period allowed by law, to approve the editing and inclusion of certain ordinances as parts <br />of the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances and to provide for the publication of <br />such new matter. <br />WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing seeks to complete a revised and updated version <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City; and <br />WHEREAS, various ordinances and resolutions of a general and permanent nature that <br />have been passed by Council but not yet included in the Codified Ordinances of the City have now <br />been made a part thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third Amended Charter of the City of <br />Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that this <br />ordinance is an emergency measure and that it shall take effect immediately, and that it is necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and to provide for the <br />usual daily operation of municipal departments, in that the publication and distribution of the June <br />2019 Replacement Pages for the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood should be <br />conducted at the earliest date possible; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. The editing, arrangement and numbering and renumbering of the following <br />ordinances and resolutions and parts of ordinances and resolutions are hereby approved as parts of <br />the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances of the City, so as to conform to the <br />classification and numbering system of the Codified Ordinances: <br />Ord. The Third Amended Charter published in the Codified Ordinances is the official <br />charter of the City of Lakewood. <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br />action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Section 4.
