<br />MINUTES OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />November 4, 2019 <br />East Conference Room <br />Present: Councilmembers O’Malley, George, & Bullock <br />Also Present: Director Pae <br />Call to Order:7:27 p.m. <br />AGENDA <br />Approval of the minutes of the October 21st meeting of the Finance Committee. <br />Chairman O’Malley made a motion to approve the minutes from the Finance Committee’s last <br />st <br />meeting on October 21 <br />, which was seconded by Councilwoman George. All members votedin <br />favor. Motion passed. <br />SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE 50-18B -ANORDINANCE to take effect immediately <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br />otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, amending <br />Ordinance 50-18A adopted May 20, 2019, authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public <br />Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or <br />the Purchasing Manager to enter into contracts for professional services, and to advertise <br />for bids and enter into contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating <br />supplies, services and equipment as authorized by the 2019 Appropriation Ordinance and <br />the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or <br />bidders or as otherwise provided by law. (1st reading 10/7/19, second reading 10/21/19) <br />Chairman O’Malley made a motion to refer Substitute Ordinance 50-18B out of committee with <br />no recommendation, to discuss on the floor with full Council, which was seconded by <br />Councilman Bullock.This motion was made due to time constraints created by an extended <br />Public Safety Committee meeting. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:32 p.m. <br />
