<br />ORDINANCE NO: 33-19
<br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of
<br />at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the
<br />earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of
<br />Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to
<br />enter into contracts for professional services, and to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for
<br />the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and equipment as authorized
<br />by the 2020 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with
<br />the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law.
<br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to provide the authorization to the Mayor (Director of
<br />Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or
<br />the Purchasing Manager to enter into contracts for professional services, and to advertise for bids
<br />and enter into contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services
<br />and equipment as authorized by the 2020 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code
<br />of the City of Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by
<br />law; and
<br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third Amended Charter of the City of
<br />Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that this
<br />ordinance is an emergency measure and that it shall take effect immediately, and that it is necessary
<br />for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and to provide for the
<br />usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to
<br />provide necessary services in a timely manner for fiscal year 2020, now, therefore,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO
<br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the
<br />Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager be and are hereby
<br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for supplies, services and equipment
<br />with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law, as follows:
