Placed on lst reading and <br />referred to Finance 11/18/19; <br />2nd reading 12/2/19 <br />Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, <br />ORDINANCE NO. 34-19 BY: O'Malley, Rader <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the <br />earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of <br />Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to <br />enter into service contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood <br />for the Department of Planning & Development in accordance with the Administrative Code of <br />the City of Lakewood, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown without separate <br />resolution of Council. <br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third Amended Charter of the City of <br />Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that this <br />ordinance is an emergency measure and that it shall take effect immediately, and that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and to provide <br />for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's <br />ability to provide necessary services in a timely manner for fiscal year 2020; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the <br />Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of <br />Lakewood, for the Division of Planning & Development, contracts not to exceed the specified <br />amounts shown, except as hereinafter provided: <br />Service Contracts $4,400,000 <br />Building Code Enforcement; <br />Childcare Scholarship Assistance Program; <br />Cleveland Mediation Center: Landlord Tenant Services; <br />Commercial Property Revitalization (Storefront Renovation) Program; <br />Cuyahoga County Planning Commission; <br />Domestic Violence & Child Advocacy Center: Victim Advocacy Services; <br />Economic Development Loan Fund; <br />First Time Homebuyer Down Payment Assistance Program (CDBG & HOME); <br />Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority; <br />Home Improvement Grant Program (HIG); <br />Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME); <br />Home Weatherization Assistance Program; <br />Housing Research & Advocacy Center: Fair Housing Services; <br />
