Proiect Vision Statement
Our Vision
We envision a cutting -edge boutique development built With a community focus that incorporates the preservation of
existing structures and historically sensitive new construction. Our site is built to support local creatives with an
entrepreneurial spirit including spaces for retail/restaurant, open air dining, office and both rehabilitated and newly
constructed market rate apartments.
There will be several public areas for people to gather including a gazebo with greenspace, pocket park and bocce
court. We anticipate many intimate local gatherings including farmers markets, art shows, food -based events, bocce
tournaments, local craft markets and non-profit yoga and meditation classes. All plantings will be native and pay
homage to the Cleveland
tree plan to reduce heat island, sustain wildlife, improve air quality, slow traffic, block noise and pollution and provide
safe, walkable streets in the urban landscape.
Keeping the health and wellness of our construction workers and building occupants at the forefi ont, our commercial
interiors will follow the IWBI WELL certification path, becoming the first of its kind in Lakewood and paving the
way for others to follow. We will incorporate biophilic design to connect the exterior and interior environment,
circadian lighting to promote sleep at night and energy during the day and the healthiest of indoor air quality through
innovative and smart mechanical systems. Ensuring that this vision is carried out by our tenants, TRUE certification
will be the standard. TRUE enables facilities to define, pursue and achieve zero waste goals, cutting carbon footprint,
supporting public health and ecosystems and advancing a green economy. Our residential units will follow the
Enterprise Green Communities path while also incorporating relevant measures of the WELL building plan. Other
sustainable features will include a small solar array, educational community garden with rainwater recycling, bicycle
parking for tenants and guests, electric car charging stations for tenants and patrons, and a green roof.
Trinity Lakewood is bikeable, walkable, and in close proximity to Edwards Park and an abundance of quality local
establishments. Although ample car parking will be available, it may not be completely necessary considering the
vicinity of public transportation.
By preserving the existing church facade and storefronts along Detroit and adding visual interest with period -
appropriate carriage houses along Westlake Avenue we are making a new statement but also preserving a vision of
the past. It is this well-balanced variety of building massing and textures of shadow, light and materials that in total
add to the richness of Detroit's built environment, which is unique in the current Lakewood development arena.
Trinity Lakewood is an environmentally sensitive, approachable boutique development that is true to Lakewood's
roots and is accessible to all.
