D. If the employee is unable to obtain the CDL within the prescribed time limits, the <br />position shall be posted bargaining unit wide. Once the vacant position has been <br />posted and filled, the employee on layoff status shall be recalled pursuant to the <br />terms outlined in Article 21, Layoff and Recall, of the current negotiated agreement. <br />ARTICLE 35 <br />ATTENDANCE BONUS <br />35.01 All full-time, hourly employees hired on or before December 31, 2009, who complete a <br />quarter of a year with perfect attendance from January 1"to March 31"; April 1st to June 30th; July <br />I" to September 30"'; October I't to December 31"; with no time lost for any reason whatsoever, <br />excluding time off as a direct result of an on-the-job injury resulting in an absence of seven (7) <br />workdays or less (consecutive or intermittent) for each separate and distinct injury (even if FMLA- <br />qualifying), during the initial twelve (12) month period of treatment, shall be entitled to receive a <br />bonus of twelve (12) times their hourly rate for each quarter in which no time absent is recorded <br />and will be paid in the employee's regular pay check. Vacations, holidays, funeral leave, military <br />leave, jury duty/witness leave, and Union leave shall not be counted as days absent. Tardiness, <br />FMLA leave, personal leave (Article 16), sick leave without pay, sick leave with pay, and any <br />workplace injuries exceeding seven (7) workdays (continuous or intermittent), regardless of the <br />reason, shall be counted as time absent. <br />35.02 All full-time, hourly employees covered under this contract who complete one (1) year <br />(January 1 to December 31) with no days absent for any reason whatsoever shall be entitled to an <br />additional eight (8) personal hours off during the following year. Vacations, holidays, funeral <br />leave, military leave, jury duty/witness leave, and Union leave shall not be counted as days absent. <br />Tardiness, FMLA leave, personal leave (Article 16), sick leave without pay, sick leave with pay, <br />and any workplace injuries exceeding seven (7) workdays (continuous or intermittent), regardless <br />of the reason, shall be counted as time absent. <br />35.03 Employees hired after December 31, 2009 shall not be eligible for these bonuses. <br />ARTICLE 36 <br />SPECIAL LICENSES <br />36.01 Employees working in a position that utilizes the below listed licenses shall receive <br />additional, annual merit pay, in equal installments and will be paid in the employee's regular pay <br />check, upon receipt of the following licenses issued by the state: <br />Chief Building Official License (BO) $2,000 <br />Master Plumber's License $1,000 <br />Plumbing Inspector's License (PI) $1,500 <br />Electrical Inspector's License (EI) $1,500 <br />Class III Building Inspector (BI) $2,000 <br />29 <br />
