ATTACHMENT REGARDING COMPENSATORY TIME AND SHIFT TRADE <br />To establish new compensatory time language and abandon the current practice that has <br />been in place regarding shift trades, the City of Lakewood ("Employer") and the Ohio Fraternal <br />Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council, Inc. (FOP/OLC), Dispatchers Unit ("Union') agree to the <br />following terms, which shall take place upon the ratification and settlement of the current <br />collective bargaining agreement negotiations: <br />1. The Employer will, for the 2017 contract year only and upon ratification, establish and <br />pre -load the compensatory bank identified in new Section 14.09 with 50 hours for each current <br />employee as of the date of ratification. <br />2. The provisions of the collective bargaining agreement contained in Article 14, <br />Overtime, shall be used to manage such compensatory time, and although the provisions and <br />allowed usage of compensatory time shall be part of this agreement and subject to future <br />bargaining of the parties, the Employer shall only pre -load the amounts set forth in the 2017 <br />contract year. <br />3. It is agreed and understood that upon ratification of the collective bargaining <br />agreement, and in an effort to resolve all doubtful and disputed claims between the Employer and <br />the Union, this agreement shall release the Employer from grievances and/or litigation on behalf <br />of the Union and the ratifying members of the bargaining unit for previous calculations and shift <br />trade errors made by the parties in their application and understanding of the previous contract. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the patties have caused this agreement to be executed on the <br />dates set forth below. <br />FOR THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD: FOR THE FRATERNAL ORDER <br />OF POLICE, OHIO LABOR <br />COUNCIL, INC. <br />Date <br />APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM: <br />Law Director <br />43 <br />Date <br />
