Section 2. New Section 121.03, Council Officers, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood is hereby enacted to read as follows: 121.03 COUNCIL OFFICERS. (a) ... (b) Except as otherwise provided by Charter, regular meetings of Council shall be held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m., official time, except that when such meeting date falls on a holiday such meeting shall instead be held on the following day. (c) After providing advance notice to Council on the docket, the President of Council, may propose to postpone or cancel meetings. The proposal must be approved by at least two thirds of the members of Council. (d) The President of Council, or in the President's absence the Vice President of Council, may postpone or cancel council meetings, limit public attendance to online streaming and allow interaction by the public, or hold the meeting virtually through remote technology in the event of a state of emergency being declared by the State of Ohio, Cuyahoga County, or the City of Lakewood or upon recommendation of community health and safety officials. Section 3. Section 109.02, Notice to Public and Media, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, currently reading as follows: 109.02 NOTICE TO PUBLIC AND MEDIA. (a) Regular Meetings. The time and place of all regular meetings of public bodies designated in Section 109.01 shall be noted in a calendar of annual meetings. This calendar shall be posted in the office of the Clerk of Council at City Hall and those posting places established in Section 107.01 not later than the second day preceding the day of the first regular meeting of the calendar year of that public body. (Ord. 66-75. Passed 12-1-1975.) (b) Special Meetings. Notification of any special meeting of the public bodies designated in Section 109.01 shall be given to any news media requesting such notification twenty- four hours prior to the time of such meeting. This notification shall include the time, place and purpose of the special meeting. Such notice shall also be posted in the office of the Clerk of Council at City Hall and those posting places established in Section 107.01 as soon as practicable after the scheduling of such special meeting. (Ord. 67-75. Passed 12-15-1975.) (c) Emergency Meetings. In the event of an emergency meeting the persons calling such meeting, or any one or more of such persons, or the Clerk or Secretary on their behalf, shall immediately give notice of such emergency meeting to the news media which have requested notification of the time, place and purpose of the emergency meeting.
