Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff,, <br />ORDINANCE NO. 13 -2020 0 ` Malley , :� c: `' x:� S h a d— n e r <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in <br />force at the earliest period allowed by law, to establish appropriations for current expenses <br />and other expenditures of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio, for the fiscal year ending <br />December 31, 2020. <br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third .Amended Charter of the City <br />of Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that <br />this ordinance is an emergency measure and that it shall take effect immediately, and that <br />it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and <br />to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that the City must <br />record all financial transactions within the appropriate fiscal period. Now therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO <br />Section 1. That to provide for the personal services and other appropriations of <br />the City of Lakewood for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2020, the sums summarized <br />on the attached Exhibit A. incorporated herein by reference, are hereby appropriated and <br />authorized for encumbrance and/or expenditure as provided herein. <br />Section 2. That further all existing encumbrances in all funds of the City of <br />Lakewood shall be carried forward. <br />Section 3. That all expenditures hereinbefore authorized and to the amount <br />authorized shall be made in accordance with the line items of Exhibit B as adopted by the <br />Council of the City of Lakewood and made a part hereof, and that any disbursements within <br />any line item set forth in Exhibit B may be paid out of the appropriation. <br />Section 4. That any amount encumbered in a year prior to fiscal year 2020 in <br />any and all funds of the City of Lakewood are hereby appropriated for the purpose of <br />expenditure in 2020 or thereafter. <br />
