8.07 Years of service, for purposes of promotion, shall be defined as years of service only with <br />the Lakewood Division of Police. <br />ARTICLE 9 WAGES <br />9.01 A. Sergeants —Nineteen (19) percent base pay above Patrol Officer Grade I. <br />B. Lieutenants —Ten (10) percent base pay above Sergeants. <br />C. Captains — Thirteen (13) percent base pay above Lieutenants. <br />9.02 For wage rate breakdown see Appendix A. <br />9.03 Proficiency Pay <br />The City will provide a stipend of $1,900.00 to all full time employees of the Lakewood Division <br />of Police for firearms and body -worn camera proficiencies, paid in the first pay of 2020, 2021, and <br />2022. <br />ARTICLE 10 DIFFERENTIAL <br />10.01 Special Operations <br />A. All employees assigned to a position of Special Operations Unit shall be paid an <br />additional three (3) percent above current rank. <br />ARTICLE 11 ASSIGNMENTS <br />11.01 Temporary Assignment <br />A. Any employee serving at a temporary rate., or in a temporary position which pays a <br />higher rate of -pay for a period in excess of thirty (30) consecutive days, shall receive <br />the base rate of pay for that higher rate or position for as long as the employee is in <br />that position. <br />B. Sergeants who work as Officer In Charge (OIC) and officers who are assigned by the <br />Chief to perform the duties of a next higher rank (Lieutenant, Captain, Chief) will <br />receive the higher pay for the job the employee is filling. <br />11.02 Job Posting <br />�611 <br />
