Provide a brief narrative description of your idea: Per the recommendation of the Tree Advisory and Education Board, and in accordance with the 20-Year Strategic Plan to Grow, Preserve and Manage Lakewood's Urban Forest, renew and increase the Forestry budget to support the goal of reaching 33.5% by 2035. 2. Briefly explain how this will benefit the community: Increasing the tree canopy improves stormwater remediation, air quality, property values, and the health and quality of life for Lakewood residents. 3.
