Overall, Director Corrigan stated that the department budget is consistent with last year's and the <br /> department is operating within its means. <br /> Councilmember Neff questioned the number of cases and suggested that it may be a typo. <br /> Director Corrigan said he would double check and that the Court would know the true number. <br /> In response to a question, Director Corrigan stated that professional services are budgeted to <br /> increase in 2021 to fund outside counsel for economic development projects such as the Solove <br /> developments, Trinity Church, the Phantasy Theater and the Lakewood Hospital site. <br /> Mayor George added that the figure also includes outside counsel for labor negotiations. <br /> Although the City intends to do most of its negotiations in-house, one contract went to arbitration <br /> this year. <br /> The Chair thanked the department for its advice and expertise to Council and to all the <br /> departments. <br /> A motion was made and seconded to adjourn Finance Committee. A roll call vote was conducted <br /> as follows: <br /> Yeas: Bullock, Litten, Neff <br /> Nays: none <br /> Motion passed. Finance Committee adjourned at 8:25 p.m. <br />
