President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to defer. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas—Bullock, Kepple, Litten,Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays—None <br /> Motion passed. The item was deferred. <br /> ****ANNOUNCEMENTS**** <br /> Mayor George thanked the police, fire, and public works personnel for their work during <br /> yesterday's windstorm. The Fire Department went on 40 calls and urban forestry did some <br /> good work as well. <br /> Director Leininger noted that Lakewood received a champion award from Vibrant NEO for <br /> its affordable housing strategy adopted in 2019. <br /> Councilmember Rader congratulated President O'Malley for being elected to the leadership <br /> of the AFL-CIO. President O'Malley spoke about his experience in the labor movement and <br /> thanked councilmembers for their well wishes. <br /> President O'Malley thanked Melissa Garrett for an outstanding Veterans Day video that she <br /> produced. <br /> Councilmember Kepple noted high COVID infection numbers, which resulting from social <br /> gatherings <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to adjourn. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas—Bullock, Kepple, Litten,Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays—None <br /> Motion passed.
