ORDINANCE NO.28-2020 <br />Placed on 1st reading & <br />referred to Finance 11/16/20; <br />2nd reading 12/7/20 <br />Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, <br />BY: O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the <br />earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of <br />Planning & Development, the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of <br />Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to enter into service contracts in accordance with the <br />Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood for the Department of Planning & Development in <br />accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, contracts not to exceed the <br />specified amounts shown without separate resolution of Council. <br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third Amended Charter of the City of <br />Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that this <br />ordinance is an emergency measure and that it shall take effect immediately, and that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and to provide <br />for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's <br />ability to provide necessary services in a timely manner for fiscal year 2021; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Planning & <br />Development, the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or <br />the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into contracts in accordance <br />with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, for the Division of Planning & <br />Development, contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown, except as hereinafter <br />provided: <br />Service Contracts $6,9669000 <br />Building Code Enforcement <br />Childcare Scholarship Assistance Program <br />Commercial Property Revitalization Program/CDBG <br />Commercial Property Revitalization Program/EDF <br />Community Development Block Grant Program <br />Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act CDBG-CV & ESG-CV Funds <br />Cuyahoga County Department of Development <br />Cuyahoga County Planning Commission <br />Economic Development Loan Fund <br />Emergency Solutions Grant Program <br />
