A motion was made and seconded to recommend Resolution 2020-77 for adoption. A roll call <br /> vote was conducted as follows: <br /> Yeas: Rader, Bullock, Shachner <br /> Nays: none <br /> Resolution 2020-77 recommended for adoption. <br /> RESOLUTION 2021-01 -A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br /> effect at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an a <br /> permanent utility easement agreement and temporary construction easement agreement <br /> with CHERI HARDT, governing the rights of the parties relative to a parcel located at <br /> 1333 LAKELAND AVENUE, Lakewood, Ohio 44107 (PPN4311-33-004)which grants <br /> the City of Lakewood access to the parcel for construction and ongoing maintenance of <br /> utility lines for a payment of$11,750.00. <br /> Engineer Papke introduced Resolution 2021-01 which concerns an easement at a residential <br /> property on Lakeland that will allow the City to add a water feature to Kauffman Park and to <br /> improve the water quality of nearby residents. The City investigated multiple options and <br /> locations for connecting the existing water mane and this location was considered ideal. Other <br /> locations were ruled out for various reasons that Mr. Papke discussed. The City approached the <br /> property owner at 1333 Lakeland and she was agreeable to the easement. An appraisal was done <br /> and that is how the amount of$11,750 was determined. This amount includes both a temporary <br /> and a permanent easement. The easement will be underneath her lawn. The cost of the water <br /> mane will be separate. <br /> A motion was made and seconded to recommend Resolution 2021-01 for adoption.
