2. SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION 2020-66 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, <br /> or otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, <br /> appointing_Sean McDermott to the Planning Commission for the five year term <br /> beginning January 1, 2021 and ending December 31, 2025. (Referred to COW 10119120) <br /> (pg. 2) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> report. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Substitute Resolution 2020-66 was adopted as substituted. <br /> 3. SUBSTITUTE RESOLUTION 2020-61 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately <br /> provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, <br /> or otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, <br /> appointing three members and one non-voting Council representative to the Americans <br /> with Disabilities (ADA) Transition Plan Task Force. (Referred to COW 1015120) (pg. 3) <br /> It was noted that Councilmember Kepple was appointed to serve as Council's representative <br /> to the taskforce during a committee hearing. Vice President Litten proposed appointing <br /> Thomas McGraw to the taskforce and inquired about timing constraints for the <br /> appointment/impending meetings. Mayor George indicated that she has made her <br /> appointments and the administration is waiting to get a meeting scheduled. <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to insert Thomas <br /> McGraw into the first blank of Substitute Resolution 2020-61. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Neff indicated that the McGraws area great family and that she <br /> would support his appointment. <br /> On the motion: A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Thomas McGraw was inserted into the first blank of Substitute Resolution <br /> 2020-61. <br /> Councilmember Kepple proposed Chris Cowen, Amanda Mellman, and Christina Tayman as <br /> all good candidates, and suggested starting with Ms. Cowen due to her longevity in Lakewood. <br />
