President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt Resolution <br /> 2021-05. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Neff, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed. Resolution 2021-05 was adopted. <br /> 6. ORDINANCE 01-2021 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, to approve <br /> the editing and inclusion of certain ordinances as parts of the various component codes of <br /> the Codified Ordinances and to provide for the publication of such new matter. (Is' read and referred to HHS 01/19/21) <br /> (pg. 23) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to defer Ordinance <br /> 02-2021. <br /> Discussion: Vice President Litten mentioned that he received a question from a resident <br /> regarding whether the ordinance should be considered in the Finance Committee. He stated <br /> he wasn't opposed to vetting it in Health & Human Services Committee however. <br /> Councilmember Rader stated is preference that the ordinance be handled in one single <br /> committee, in order to streamline public comment and feedback. He added that the financials <br /> of the ordinance should not be majorly impacffil on the budget. Mayor George stated that <br /> Director Rancatore could be invited to a committee meeting to discuss the financials of the <br /> ordinance. It was determined that the ordinance would remain in Health & Human Services <br /> committee. <br />
