President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to defer Ordinance 19- <br /> 2021. <br /> All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 19-2021 was deferred. <br /> 7. Report from Councilmember Kepple regarding ADA Task Force. (to be provided) <br /> Councilmember Kepple delivered the following oral report: <br /> The ADA Task Force met on May 20 where Michelle Nochta of the Planning Department <br /> presented the RFP for a self-assessment and transition plan, which received general approval <br /> with very minor changes. We had continued conversation on how to best make the accessibility <br /> complaint form accessible on the website, to be included with a landing page that included <br /> information on the ADA and a drop down on the report a problem page. I met with Michael <br /> Coletta from IT and Chief of Staff Storey to work on a technical solution for that. We continued <br /> to discuss the possibility of economic development programs that would incentivize ADA <br /> improvements on private property, similar to the city of Pittsburgh's One Step Program, to <br /> make more of our businesses more accessible to our residents. Our next meeting is schedule <br /> for June 17th at 6pm with some discussion of moving to a hybrid (Zoom/in-person)for best <br /> accessibility for those affected by ADA complications. <br /> Councilmember Kepple moved, seconded by President O'Malley to receive and file the oral <br /> report. <br /> All members voted in favor. Motion passed. The oral report was received and filed. <br /> 8. RESOLUTION 2021-21 - A RESOLUTION to recognize the month of June 2021 as <br /> LGBTQ+Pride Month in the City of Lakewood. (pg. 018) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt Resolution <br /> 2021-21. <br /> Comments: President O'Malley spoke to how far the LGBTQ+ movement has come, along <br /> with Lakewood's acceptance of LGBTQ+ community members. Councilmember Rader <br /> seconded those sentiments. <br /> On the motion: All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2021-21 adopted. <br /> 9. Communication from Council President O'Malley regarding vacancies on the Anti-Racism <br /> Task Force. (pg. 020) <br /> President O'Malley made a motion, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> All members voted in favor. Motion passed.
