Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to refer the communication <br /> to the Public Works & Sustainability Committee. <br /> Discussion: Councilmembers reviewed the various levels of chargers and where they are <br /> located throughout the city. Timelines ofnew charger installation were reviewed as well, with <br /> further engineering needed on a couple locations. The hope is that the new chargers will be <br /> up and running by Thanksgiving. David Baas of the Planning Department provided <br /> information on the life cycle of the electric vehicle chargers, with the industry standard being <br /> about 10 years. <br /> On the motion: All members voted in favor. ORDINANCE 33-2021 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council to create <br /> Chapter 357 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations within the Lakewood Codified <br /> Ordinances. RESOLUTION 2021-51 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise <br /> to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor <br /> or her designee to apply for and enter into an agreement with the Western Reserve Area <br /> Agency on Aging for title III of the Older Americans Act, Senior Community Services for <br /> the 2022 program year.
