Motion by Councilmember Rader, seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt Resolution <br /> 2021-58. All members in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2021-58 was adopted. <br /> Councilmembers and Mayor George shared personal sentiments and complimented <br /> Councilmember Neff on her service on Lakewood City Council. <br /> 24. RESOLUTION 2021- 59 - A RESOLUTION to commend Judge Patrick Carroll for his <br /> 32 years of service to the people of Lakewood as the longest- serving judge in the history <br /> of the Lakewood Municipal Court. (pg. 78) <br /> Motion by Vice President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to adopt Resolution <br /> 2021-59. All members in favor. Motion passed. Resolution 2021-59 was adopted. <br /> Judge Carroll spoke about his time and experiences serving as Lakewood Municipal Court <br /> Judge. He thanked Council for the resolution and members of the administration for their <br /> partnership on various court initiatives. <br /> 25. Communication from President O'Malley regarding Appointment to Ward 1 Council Seat. <br /> (pg. 80) <br /> Motion by Vice President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Rader to receive and file the <br /> communication. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Shachner inquired as to how many applications were received for <br /> the Ward I Council Seat. Council staff indicated that S applications were received. <br /> On the motion: All members voted in favor. Motion passed. The communication was received <br /> and filed. <br /> 26. RESOLUTION 2021-60 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise <br /> to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, appointing <br /> to the Ward 1 seat on Lakewood City Council for the remainder of <br /> the four-year term ending December 31, 2023. (pg. 81) <br /> Motion by Vice President Litten,seconded by Councilmember Rader to defer Resolution 2021- <br /> 60. <br /> 10 <br />
