All members in favor. Motion passed. The minutes
were approved.
ORDINANCE 33-2021 -AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives
the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council to create Chapter 357
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations within the Lakewood Codified Ordinances. (1st read and
referred to PWS 10/4/21; 2"d reading 10/18/21)
Councilmember Bullock stated that a meeting was held between members of Clean Fuels Ohio,
himself, Director Leininger, and City Planner Baas to discuss the legislation. He noted that the
rate chart shared by the administration is an uncommon and valuable piece of data that other
communities can use to pattern their electric vehicle charging programs after.
Chairman Rader noted that the legislation was substituted at a previous committee meeting to
correct a numbering error in the ordinance.
Motion by Chairman Rader, seconded by Councilmember Shachner to recommend adoption of
Ordinance 33-2021 as amended. All members in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 33-2021 was
recommended for adoption.
The committee meeting was adjourned without objection at 5:58 p.m.
