Discussion: Councilmember Bullock expressed support for the resolution and for the choice of <br /> Kyle Baker to fill the vacant seat. He spoke of Mr. Baker's qualification, skill, and previous <br /> leadership on the Planning Commission. He also underscored Mr. Baker's strong performance <br /> among Ward 1 residents in the General Election. <br /> A roll call vote was conducted as follows: <br /> Yeas: Bullock, Kepple, Litten, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays: none <br /> Motion passed. S. Reso. 2021-60 adopted. <br /> 3. Swearing in of Kyle Baker as Councilmember of Ward 1 (to be provided) <br /> Mr. Baker introduced Rose Fini, President of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association who <br /> would administer the oath, as well as his family. <br /> Ms. Fini administered the oath of office to Kyle Baker. <br /> Mr. Baker expressed appreciation to his friends, family, and supporters for their support. He <br /> expressed enthusiasm for beginning his service to the residents of Ward 1. <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to receive and file the signed <br /> and sworn oath of office of Kyle Baker. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. <br /> President O'Malley ordered the resignation letter of former Ward 1 Councilmember Tess Neff to <br /> be entered into the record. <br /> Without objection, President O'Malley ordered item 420 to be read <br /> 4. Committee report regarding meeting of the Finance Committee held February 7, 2022. (to be <br /> provided) <br /> Finance Committee Chairman Shachner delivered the following oral report: <br /> We had our Finance Committee Meeting, the first of the year, today. There were <br /> eight items on the agenda, but they all encompassed two things. The first, was the <br /> resolution permitting the mayor to enter into an agreement for a grant of$3.28 <br /> million for the City's 2022 watermain replacement project. This was referred to <br /> the Public Works & Sustainability Committee also and recommended for adoption <br /> 2 <br />
