Finally, we heard Reso. 2022-04 which is the Safe Routes to Schools and active transportation <br /> planning resolution to support the administration in its work to apply to state agencies for <br /> funding and for grant support for an expanded planning process. It is a very sound approach <br /> that builds upon a lot ofgood work the city has been doing for years. I think the administration is <br /> correct that we are due for an update and a deepening of those plans. The Committee agreed and <br /> we recommended that resolution for adoption tonight. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Bullock, seconded by President O'Malley to receive and file the oral <br /> report. <br /> Discussion: <br /> Mayor George expressed disappointment that the Committee did not move Ord. 05-2022 <br /> forward. She urged the committee to meet on the legislation before the next meeting so that <br /> important safety matters are not delayed. <br /> Councilmember Bullock expressed support for the ordinance and committed to bringing it back <br /> in a timely manner. He remarked further on the unresolved issues with the legislation that came <br /> up in committee. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. The report was received and filed. <br /> 5. ORDINANCE 03-2022 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the <br /> affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council amending Section 1306.28 <br /> Water Heating Facilities, of the Lakewood Codified Ordinances to allow public bodies in the <br /> City of Lakewood to update the local code to the 2017 Ohio Plumbing Code. (Is' read and <br /> referred to HPD 1/18/22; 2"d reading 2/7/22) (pg. 27) <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to substitute Ordinance 03- <br /> 2022. <br /> It was clarified that the nature of the substitute involved striking the language "to allow public <br /> bodies in the City of Lakewood," from the title, which was placed there erroneously. <br /> A roll call vote was taken as follows: <br /> Yeas —Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Litten, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays —None <br /> Motion passed.
