Overall Sentiment
rf ,i,1W
n,iH nrvn- H
Michelle Burlingame
Location:
Submitted At: 4:23pm 03-21-22
I'd like to bring attention to the recent neighborhood disturbances created by Two Bucks Lakewood, located at
15609 Madison Ave.
For the last month, this location has been holding a weekly "House Party" event on Saturdays from 11 PM to 2
AM. During this time, music is played at excessive volume, to the point of shaking the walls of my home that is
located over a block away from the bar. The music often continues well after bar close every week. Neighbors and
I have called in noise complaints to the Lakewood PD each time, but there has been no change in volume and
attempts to address the volume levels with the bar have been disregarded and ignored. They recently held a St.
Patrick's Day "House Party" event on Thursday (a work day), and music was played at this same excessive
volume from 11 AM that morning until after 2:30 AM when the bar should have been closed. As someone who
works from home, this was stressful and distracting for me.
I kindly request that the City address these violations of Lakewood Municipal Code 8.36.010, Noise control, with
the owners/managers of Two Bucks Lakewood to prevent further disturbances to the neighborhood, and to
prevent further drain on Lakewood PD's time and resources caused by addressing constant noise complaints.
Thank you!
Ryan H.
Location:
Submitted At: 12:03pm 03-21-22
With the nice weather days we have been having I have noticed an increase in the use of bicycles in the
community. However, a lot of them have been using the sidewalks rather than the bike lanes. Madison Ave is a
great East - West route but it is only paint on a very busy road. Not only is the road busy but it is always
congested with parked cars so people in the bike lanes need to worry about being doored on top of cars passing
them.
A bike lane should be protected. We cannot expect someone who is new to riding a bike as a form of
transportation to be comfortable in a lane that is only paint. We need to have protected lanes to insure the safety
of anyone who uses them. This includes kids riding to school, families going to the park, someone going to work,
etc.
Our sidewalks cannot take runners, walkers, bikes, strollers and everything else. If Lakewood wants to be the
most bicycle friendly city in Ohio, it needs to work on making actual protected bike lanes for its citizens.
