ORDINANCE NO. 41-2021A <br />Formerly ORD. NO. 20-2022 <br />Placed on 1st reading & referred to <br />Finance 6/06/22; 2nd reading 6/21/22 <br />Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Litten, <br />Marx, Rader, Shachner <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the <br />earliest period allowed by law, amending Ordinance 41-2021 adopted December 20, 2021, <br />authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of <br />Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to enter into contracts for <br />professional services, and to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for the purchase of repair <br />maintenance and operating supplies, services and equipment as authorized by the 2022 <br />Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood with the lowest <br />and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by law. <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to provide the authorization to the Mayor (Director of <br />Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or <br />the Purchasing Manager to enter into contracts for professional services, and to advertise for bids <br />and enter into contracts for the purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services <br />and equipment as authorized by the 2022 Appropriation Ordinance and the Administrative Code <br />of the City of Lakewood with the lowest and best bidder or bidders or as otherwise provided by <br />law; and <br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third Amended Charter of the City of <br />Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that this <br />ordinance is an emergency measure and that it shall take effect immediately, and that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and to provide <br />for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability <br />to provide necessary services in a timely manner for fiscal year 2022, now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br />Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 41-2021, adopted December 20, 2021, currently reading <br />as follows: <br />Section 1.
