A motion was made and seconded to recommend Resolution 2022-27 for adoption. All members <br /> voted in favor. Motion passed. <br /> RESOLUTION 2022-26 -A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council or <br /> otherwise, to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law <br /> requesting the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer to draw and the Cuyahoga County <br /> Treasurer to pay to the City of Lakewood Director of Finance an advance of all <br /> real, personal property and special assessments collected in the year 2023 in such <br /> amounts as may be requested and available. <br /> Director Rancatore explained that Resolution 2022-26 authorizes the County to pay the city in <br /> installments, as tax revenue comes in. He displayed a schedule of those planned payments. The <br /> payments are not received monthly, but when are reflected on the monthly financial report when <br /> they are received. <br /> A motion was made and seconded to recommend Resolution 2022-26 for adoption. All members <br /> voted in favor. Motion passed. <br /> RESOLUTION 2022-25 -A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> received the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law <br /> approving the Tax Budget of the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio for the year <br /> 2023, and authorizing the filing of same with the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer. <br /> Director Rancatore explained that Resolution 2022-25 kicks off the tax budget season by <br /> preparing a tax budget that is submitted to the County. The County reviews the budget to ensure <br /> that the City will have a balanced budget and issues a certificate certifying that. Mr. Rancatore <br /> displayed the tax budget that will be submitted, though it was noted that the document is not <br /> attached to Resolution 2022-25. Mr. Rancatore further explained that the City is required to <br /> provide any significant alterations to the budget to the County and did so last year upon receipt <br /> of ARPA funds. <br /> A motion was made and seconded to recommend Resolution 2022-25 for adoption. All members <br /> voted in favor. Motion passed. <br /> ORDINANCE 20-2022 -AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law, <br /> amending Ordinance 41-2021 adopted December 20, 2021, authorizing the Mayor <br /> (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the Director of Law, the <br /> Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to enter into contracts for <br /> professional services, and to advertise for bids and enter into contracts for the <br /> purchase of repair maintenance and operating supplies, services and equipment as <br /> 2 <br />
