Tactics to Address Affordable Housing Issues <br /> From LakewoodAlive <br /> July 2022 <br /> For the purposes of our discussion below, LakewoodAlive defines affordable housing as: <br /> Renters:includes rent and utilities. Homeowners would include mortgage ( P.I.T.I.) Principle, <br /> Interest, Taxes and Insurance) and utility costs. How many vouchers are currently being used in Lakewood? <br /> 2. What can we do with the data that was gathered by the 2019 Lakewood Landlord <br /> Survey? <br /> a. What was the outcome of the City of Lakewood Landlord Survey? <br /> - Buildings are being purchased and leases are not being renewed or being turned into <br /> month to month leases with significant rent increases causing short notice for tenants <br /> and long term tenants to find housing <br />
