13.02 All full-time members covered under this contract who complete one (1) year (January lstthrough <br />December 31St) with one (1) or less days absent for any reason whatsoever (excluding time off as a direct <br />result of an on-the-job injury lasting no more than four (4) twenty-four (24) hour shifts or seven (7) <br />eight -hour shifts, (consecutive or intermittent) for each separate and distinct injury, shall be entitled to <br />one (1) tour off during the following year. Members retiring on December 31st who would be entitled <br />to one (1) holiday off the next following year, shall be permitted to convert said holiday to cash at their <br />current hourly rate in effect on December 31St. Members working a forty (40) hour work week shall be <br />entitled to one (1) eight (8) hour holiday. However, employees who take time off as a result of a serious <br />injury suffered while fighting a fire shall maintain eligibility during the initial eighteen (18) month period <br />of treatment for each separate and distinct serious injury. <br />ARTICLE 14 <br />VACATIONS <br />14.01 Personnel. <br />A. Members who have completed one (1) or more years of service as of June I" shall earn <br />vacation time according to the following schedule: <br />Years of Service Vacation Tours Must Take Annually <br />1 through 6 6 2 <br />7 through 12 9 3 <br />13 through 18 12 4 <br />19+ 15 5 <br />B. A vacation tour is defined as one (1) twenty-four (24) hour scheduled tour of duty. Members <br />are considered to be on vacation forty-eight (48) hours prior to and after scheduled vacation <br />and holiday tours, including FLSA days when used in conjunction with vacation and <br />holiday. <br />C. As shown above, all members must select one-third (1/3) of the vacation time earned during <br />the previous calendar year. Members retiring during the calendar year are exempt from this <br />provision. <br />14.02 Members Working a Forty (40) Hour Per Week Schedule. <br />A.
