context of budget discussions. <br /> Mayor George reminded Council that the collective bargaining agreements are required to be <br /> accepted or rejected by Council within 30 days. <br /> Councilmember Baker added that the agreements will go into effect without Council's action. He <br /> asked the administration to explain within the budget hearings how these labor agreements <br /> impact the city's bottom line and how they fit within the city's means. He expressed a preference <br /> for this to be a public meeting, so the public can be assured that the city can afford these <br /> agreements. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 20. RESOLUTION 2022-53 — A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council,or otherwise <br /> to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the <br /> Mayor of the City of Lakewood, Ohio, to enter into an Agreement with the Ohio <br /> Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, Corrections Officer Unit for a three-year period <br /> commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2025, and ratifying that <br /> Agreement. (pg. 119) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Rader to adopt Resolution 2022-53. <br /> All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 21. Communication from Fire Chief Dunphy regarding Resolution adopting the Cuyahoga <br /> County 2023-2028 All-Hazards Mitigation Plan as the official Hazard Mitigation Plan of <br /> the City of Lakewood. (pg. 154) <br /> Motion by President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Rader, to receive and file <br /> communication. All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> 22.
