Any members of the Labor/Management Committee may put a matter on the committee's <br />agenda at least five (5) working days in advance of a scheduled meeting and both the City and <br />FOP shall make every effort to implement the unanimous decisions of the committee. <br />29.02 The Labor/Management Committee may, by unanimous agreement of all members, re- <br />examine any non -economic provision of a valid labor agreement. <br />29.03 When the City anticipates the purchase of new or the replacement of current equipment <br />for use by individual police personnel; e.g., squad cars, radio communication equipment, <br />weaponry, they shall, to the extent practicable, notify the Labor/Management Committee at the <br />next regularly scheduled meeting, prior to actual purchase or replacement. The <br />Labor/Management Committee will only exercise advisory functions in relation to such <br />purchases or replacements, and the final authority for such decisions shall remain with the City. <br />29.04 The City and Union agree to maintain the highest quality replacement and maintenance <br />program possible given available resources, and mutually develop an ongoing maintenance <br />program beneficial to both parties. <br />ARTICLE 30 LEGALITY <br />30.01 It is the intent of the City and the FOP that this Agreement comply in every respect with <br />the applicable legal statutes and charter requirements. If it is determined that any provision of <br />this Agreement is in conflict with law, that provision shall be null and void and shall not affect <br />the validity of the remaining paragraphs of this Agreement. <br />ARTICLE 31 PERFECT ATTENDANCE <br />31.01 All full-time, permanent, sworn employees covered under this contract who complete a <br />quarter (114) of a year with perfect attendance (January 1 to March 31; April 1 to June 30, July 1 <br />to September 30; October 1 to December 31), with no time absent for any reason whatsoever, <br />shall be entitled to receive a bonus equal to twelve (12) hours pay at the employee's current rate <br />of salary for each quarter in which no absence is recorded. Vacations, holidays, funeral leave, <br />military leave, jury duty/witness leave, union leave and time off as a result of injury or illness <br />sustained while employees were responding to calls for service, self -initiated law enforcement <br />activities or other activities unique to law enforcement, shall not be counted as days absent. <br />Payments to be made in January, April, July and October of each year. <br />31.02 All full-time, permanent, sworn employees covered under this contract who complete one <br />(1) year (January 1 to December 31) with no days absent for any reason whatsoever, shall be <br />entitled to an additional eight (8) personal hours off during the following year. <br />ARTICLE 32 DURATION <br />This Agreement represents an understanding between the City and the FOP, and it shall be <br />effective as of January 1, 2023, and remain in full force and effect until December 31, 2025. <br />25 <br />
