This referral signals that the current plans
are on track for final approval. Director Leininger directed Council to the 9 conditions placed on
the referral and the city website for all current updates.
Director Leininger reminded Council that during his last update, the site had reduced the number
of residential units by 20 due to changes at the Curtis Block. He said that the site is now down
seven units. The final number of units may change again. He stated that discussions regarding
the Curtis Block are ongoing and final decisions will be included into the final design plan. He
explained to Council that work will be happening behind the scenes in January, but that there
will be no public meetings on the project until February.
Director Leininger provided a visual presentation, showing the impact of the building design on
the neighborhood and streetscape. He called out recent changes that were made at the suggestion
of ABR and Planning Commission.
In response to a question, Director Leininger confirmed that surveyors were recently on site
taking measurements.
In response to a question, Director Leininger stated that the development agreement and
development plan are progressing but that the timeline for Council deliberation is still unknown.
1
