Councilmember Marx asked about the number of attendees from the past Saturday meeting. Mr. <br />Joyner replied that the program began on May 13 and had six in-person members and three <br />members who joined virtually. Councilmember Marx shared her support for the program. <br /> <br />Chair Kepple commended the programfor treating the underlying issues and addressing the <br />entire family. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rader thanked Mr. Joyner for his 50 years of service in the field and asked how <br />the program can be shared. Director Berry spoke about the broad advertising that has begun <br />through social media and mentioned the piece in The Observer. <br />Mrs. Joyner of Joyner and Associates mentioned the usage of newsletters to reach out and <br />advertise the program. Mr. and Mrs. Joyner explained the importance of word-of-mouth <br />advertising. <br />Chair Kepple asked if the program will continue after the initial two complete cycles of the <br />program. Director Berry explained that the program currentlyhas enough funding for 40 more <br />cycles and will be supported as long as possible with the OneOhio Opioid Settlement funding. <br />Councilmember Baker expressed his support for the program and the importance of Lakewood <br />providing resources for families. <br />Chair Kepple confirmed with Mr. Joyner that the program is open-ended and allows members to <br />join at any time throughout each cycle. <br />Health & Human Services Committee adjourned at 6:31 p.m. <br />2 <br /> <br />
