Public Comment <br />John Mitterholzer –1448 Rosewood <br />Mr. Mitterholzer applauded the city for initiating the Climate Action Plan and praised the plan’s <br />focus on data and equity. He expressed excitement about the plan’s conclusion that climate <br />action is also cost effective. He encouraged Council to adopt the plan and to begin <br />implementation. <br /> <br />Harry Lader – Lakewood, Ohio <br />Mr. Lader applauded the city’s leadership on the ClimateAction Plan and asked about the city’s <br />plans to collaborate with the county or other cities. <br /> <br />Mike Foley, Director of Sustainability for Cuyahoga County applauded the plan and expressed a <br />desire for the County to partner with the city and offered ideas and suggestions. <br /> <br />Glen Campbell – Lanning Ave. <br />Mr. Campbell expressed support for the plan and encouraged the city to stay engaged with <br />residents during its implementation. He acknowledged that implementing the plan is a significant <br />undertaking. He encouraged the city to help with upfront financing. <br />Jay Ketchaver–2067 Lakeland Ave. <br />Jay thanked Council and the city on behalf of his family and asked for continued engagement <br />with the citizenry on implementation of the plan. <br /> <br />Aaron Marcovy of NOPEC applauded the Climate Action Plan and praised Lakewood’s <br />leadership on this issue. He discussed tools, resources, and funding opportunities that can aid in <br />the partnership between the city and NOPEC. <br /> <br />Michael Fodor - 1439 Riverside Dr. <br />Mr. Fodor expressed excitement over the plan. He expressed appreciation for the city’s <br />leadership on this and mentioned that it will attract young people to the city. <br /> <br />Kara - 2132 Clarence Ave. <br />Kara remarked that she moved to the city for its leadership on climate. She asked for <br />opportunities for future involvement and help from the city to move forward with financing. <br /> <br />Chairman Rader acknowledged four eComments received in support of the Climate Action Plan. <br /> <br />Committee members made final thoughts on the plan and the path forward for implementation. <br /> <br />Chairman Rader proposed an amendment to the Climate Action Plan to add a statement of <br />support from City Council. <br /> <br />Director Leininger added that the acknowledgement page will receive additional updates to <br />recognize all who contributed to the plan. <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> <br />
