Communication from Public Works Director Gordon regarding 2024 Lakewood CDBG <br />Streets Improvements Program Lakewood Heights Blvd. (pg. 31) <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Councilman Shachner, to receive and file the <br />communication. <br />Discussion: Councilman Baker applauded the collaboration between the City of Lakewood and <br />the City of Cleveland. He then acknowledged that he would like to see Fisher Road involved in a <br />similar agreement as Fisher Road also shares a border with the City of Cleveland and is in <br />dilapidated condition. <br />President Litten clarified with Director Gordon the specific areas of Lakewood Heights Boulevard <br />that will be involved in the project. <br />On the motion: All members in favor. RESOLUTION 2023-41 A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br />receives the vote of at least two thirds of members of Council, or otherwise to take effect <br />at the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor, or her designee, to enter into <br />an agreement with the City of Cleveland for street improvements for Lakewood Heights <br />Boulevard from Joselyn Road to Berea Road. (pg. 32) <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Councilwoman Marx, to adopt Resolution 2023-41 <br />Discussion: Councilman Baker asked for further clarification about the current status of the <br />project. Director Gordon responded that a similar resolution is going to be discussed at the city of <br />th <br />. Councilman Baker further inquired about details of <br />the project, specifically how funds will be used and the general description of the project. Director <br />Gordon explained the project will involve full depth concrete replacement and ADA ramp curbs <br />if needed. He emphasized that the project is still in the design phase. In terms of cost split, Director <br />Gordon stated that Lakewood will be responsible for its portion and Cleveland will be responsible <br />for theirs. President Litten joined in the conversation to clarify that the project is for Lakewood <br />Heights Blvd. from Joselyn Road to Berea Road, which consists of Ward 3 and Ward 4. <br />Ѝ <br /> <br />
