He gave an overview of a few instances of potential noise code violations on
their property. He also said there is trash on the lawn between his home and Raising Cane’s,
that is part of the restaurant’s property, that has been there for 6 months. He said the trash
barrel that they had to fight for gets so full that people just throw their trash on the street
thinking Raising Cane’s will pick it up, but they don’t. He also expressed safety concerns
about the traffic flow from the restaurant. He requested that the stop sign and “No Left Turn”
sign be moved onto City property so that it can be enforced. He also wanted to know why
Bunts Rd has not been repaved in the 20 years he has lived here.
President Litten told Mr. Pehotsky that as his ward 3 Councilmember he would work with the
Ward 3 Police Officer to get some answers to his questions.
Councilmember Rader added that he spoke to Mr. Pehotsky before the meeting about light
pollution coming into his home from Raising Cane’s.He said he wanted to add that to the list
of his concerns since there are ordinances that address that issue.

Harry Lader, 2379 Woodward Ave – Mr. Lader expressed congratulations to the winners of
the Beautiful Homes program. He stated that commercial composting can
be expensive for some residents, and he would like to advocate for the City to expand its
composting program. He brought up that composting is mentioned several times in
Lakewood’s Climate Action Plan, and he would like to see the topic added to the October
10
