This RFP must be submitted by <br />October20, 2023. Therefore, I have attached for your consideration an Emergency Resolution <br />authorizing the mayor or designee to submit the proposal, a requirement of the request for <br />proposal, and to enter a contract for services upon receipt of the grant award. <br />The Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging has been our valued partner for over 44years, <br />particularly in the areas of senior nutrition and transportation.In 2023 YTD the 9,807 one-way <br />trips to seniors and over 21,000home delivered and congregate meals.Theseservices receive <br />financial or material support through this Title III program and remain invaluable to Lakewood <br />residents over age 60. <br />Irespectfullyrequestyourapprovalto meetthe October20,2023, proposalapplication <br />deadline. <br />Sincerely, <br />Chad Berry, LISW-S <br />Director of Human Services <br />The City of Lakewood, Department of Human Services, provides a continuum of responsive programs and services that <br />enhance and promote the health and well-being of individuals, families and the community. <br /> <br />
