DocuSign Envelope ID: D733A3F0-EC57-49D6-A4C4-7A15E4E44C25 <br />1st read & referred <br />to Finance 11/20/23 <br />2nd reading 12/4/23 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3 4-2 02 3 BY: Baker, Bullock, Litten, <br />Marx, Rader, Shachner <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the <br />earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of <br />Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, the Director of Planning & <br />Development, and/or the Purchasing Manager to enter into service contracts in accordance with <br />the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood for the Department of Planning & Development, <br />contracts not to exceed the specified amounts shown without separate resolution of Council. <br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third Amended Charter of the City of <br />Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that this <br />ordinance is an emergency measure and that it shall take effect immediately, and that it is necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and to provide for the <br />usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the City's ability to <br />provide necessary services in a timely manner for fiscal year 2024; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the <br />Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of <br />Lakewood, for the Division of Planning & Development, contracts not to exceed the specified <br />amounts shown, except as hereinafter provided: <br />Service Contracts $697509000 <br />American Rescue &Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) HOME Homeless Assistance & <br />Supportive Services Program <br />American Rescue &Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) State &Local Fiscal Recovery Fund <br />Americans with Disabilities Act Public Infrastructure Transition Program <br />Building Code Enforcement <br />Childcare Scholarship Assistance <br />Commercial Property Revitalization Program <br />Community Development Block Grant Program <br />
