On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Councilman Shachner elected Vice President of <br />Lakewood City Council. <br />Further Discussion: Councilman Shachner expressed appreciation for Council's support and <br />highlighted his commitment to collaborative efforts with his fellow Council members. He <br />emphasized the importance of working together to effectively represent the citizens of <br />Lakewood. <br />***OLD BUSINESS*** <br />1. RESOLUTION 2023-60 –A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, appointing five members to the <br />Charter Review Commission for a six-month term beginning January 1, 2024. (referred to <br />COW 11/6/23; discharged from COW and referred 12/18/23) (pg. 1) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to defer Resolution 2023- <br />60. <br />Discussion: President Kepple noted that Council has interviews scheduled for next Monday’s <br />meeting.
