(1 read & <br />referred to Finance 12/18/23) (pg. 102) <br />Motion by President Kepple, seconded by Vice President Shachner, to defer Ordinance 47-2023. <br />Discussion: Councilman Bullock asked President Kepple when the committees will be <br />formulated and announced in order to enable Council to get to work on these deferred items. <br />President Kepple stated that she plans to make an announcement at the conclusion of the <br />meeting. She emphasized to the public that these deferreditems have previously been referred to <br />committees, however thenewcommittees have yet to be formulated given the new year. She <br />stated that once these committees have been formulated, Council will formally act on these <br />items. <br />On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. Ordinance 47-2023 deferred. <br />****ANNOUNCEMENTS**** <br />President Kepple shared that she has a preliminary list for committee assignments. She <br />encouraged her fellow Council members to communicate their committee interests and <br />preferences. Additionally, she mentioned the upcoming Committee of the Whole meeting on <br />January 8, expressing her anticipation that the Charter Review Commission appointments would <br />be finalized by then. <br />Councilman Bullock formally welcomed Councilmember Strebig to Lakewood City Council.
