Ord. 35-2023 recommended for adoption. <br />ORDINANCE 36-2023 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect January 1, 2024 provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least five members of Council, or otherwise to take effect <br />and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law amending the Tax Code of the City <br />of Lakewood to incorporate changes that have been mandated by the passage of H.B. 33 by <br />the State of Ohio. <br />Motion by Chair Shachner, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to recommend Ord. 36-2023 <br />for approval. Ord. 36-2023 recommended for adoption. <br />ORDINANCE 37-2023 - AN ORDINANCE to take effect January 1, 2024, provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise <br />to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, to provide for creating <br />positions and rates of pay for full-time and certain part-time annual salaried employees and <br />hourly rate employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement in the several <br />departments, divisions and offices of the City of Lakewood, including the Chief of Fire, <br />Chief of Police and Civil Service Commissioners and superseding all prior salary <br />ordinances. <br />Motion by Chair Shachner, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to recommend Ord. 37-2023 <br />for approval. Ord. 37-2023 recommended for adoption. <br />RESOLUTION 2023-65 - A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take <br />effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, authorizing and directing the <br />Mayor to submit the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) One-Year Action Plan of the FY20–FY24 Five <br />Year Consolidated Plan (Consolidated Plan) which includes dollar allocations and activities <br />to be funded with federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency <br />Solutions Grant (ESG) resources, any other entitlement funds received from the U.S. <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), all amendments thereto, and all <br />understandings and assurances contained therein, and incorporates the City’s application <br />to HUD for FY24 CDBG and ESG funds. <br />Motion by Chair Shachner, seconded by Councilmember Bullock to recommend Reso 2023-65 <br />5 <br /> <br />
